Welcome to the Word of Soaking Salts!

Soaking in salt water for its therapeutic benefits has been around for a long time. Around the world people soak in naturally occurring salt water, whether it be the ocean or highly concentrated sea beds like the Dead Sea as part of their health regimen. Today, since many of us are not conveniently located near salted bodies of water, adding soaking salts to a bath can provide the same benefits.

To embrace the diverse use of salt, Salty Jack™ has branched into the world of soaking salts to help promote salts holistic benefits to overall health. Our soaking salts contain Himalayan Rock Salt, Dead Sea Salt, and Epsom salt. We currently have two scents, “Devotional Love” Lavender Rose and “Salted Ice” Mint Rosemary. In addition to our scents, we are carrying unscented Dead Sea Salt for those who are sensitive to scents but still desire salt’s therapeutics benefits.

Salty Jack™ recommends soaking in salt between one to three times a week by adding around 2oz to 4oz (1/4 cup to 1/2 cup) of our soaking salts to each bath. Salty Jack’s™ soaking salts are for topical use only and should not be consume, including the unscented Dead Sea Salt. If you are pregnant, have a chronic health condition or have other health concerns, make sure to check with a doctor before using any of Salty Jack’s™ soaking salts. Himalayan Rock Salt

Sourced from ancient sea beds of the Himalayan Mountain range near Punjab, Pakistan, Himalayan rock salt is mineral-rich with its 84 different trace minerals. The composition of minerals, which include iron, magnesium, potassium, and calcium, contribute to its stunning pink color and therapeutic benefits that has made this salt highly sought after. Himalayan Salt has grown in popularity for the use of mineral baths due to its higher count of trace minerals.

Dead Sea Salt has seen to be effective in improving skin hydration, reduce inflammation, stimulates circulation, help relieve achy muscles, and improves overall skin health.

Benefits of soaking in Dead Sea salt include the following:

· Decreasing inflammation in the joints, including inflammation caused by rheumatoid arthritis

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is not actually salt but instead magnesium sulfate. Epsom salt comes from a naturally occurring mineral called epsomite, which contains the chemical components of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen whereas salt contains the elements of sodium and chlorine to make sodium chloride. Its name comes from the saline springs at Epsom in Surrey, England where it was first noticed. Epsom salt is well-known for its therapeutic benefits including helping to relieve sore muscles.
